Planner

The Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability and effective management of material and spare parts inventory to support operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

About the Role

Develop and implement inventory management strategies for material and spare parts aligned with the category.

Responsibilities

• Create a highly accurate product demand forecast.
• Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics monthly.
• Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for delivering spare parts to service counters and informing relevant departments of delivery dates/delays and potential issues.
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify critical spare parts and prioritize inventory levels.
• Monitor stock levels and manage reordering processes to ensure optimal inventory without incurring excess costs.
• Evaluate supplier performance and relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of spare parts.
• Prepare reports on inventory status, turnover rates, and forecasting errors for management review.
• Collaborate closely with purchasing partners to ensure successful supply chain execution.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance spare parts planning processes.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and suppliers to address issues related to spare parts procurement and availability.
• Formulate Business cases to support decision-making for potential spare parts recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, spare parts planning, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
