Director of Engineering

A global high-tech company developing Video AI and Computer Vision platforms for the sports broadcasting domain.

The company is based in Tel Aviv (near the train line), employs hundreds of employees, and operates a hybrid work model with two work-from-home days per week.

The company delivers consumer-facing products serving millions of users worldwide, including clubs and coaches, enabling large-scale video viewing, analysis, and insights extraction. The Israeli R&D center plays a central role in the company’s transition to AI-first products.

Role responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the VP of R&D as part of an organizational shift moving Consumer App development from offshore teams to local and hybrid teams.
• Managing the existing consumer development team and actively participating in the establishment and scaling of the Israeli team.
• Full end-to-end ownership of the company’s Consumer products, including OTT streaming, monetization systems, and coach analytics tools.
• Leading Full Stack architecture for real-time, global-scale video systems, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Hands-on management of 3–4 cross-functional teams, including Frontend, Backend, Mobile, and QA.
• Defining the technology roadmap, selecting technologies, and making architectural decisions for high-traffic, performance-critical systems.
• Close collaboration with Product and Design teams to translate business and UX requirements into technical solutions.
• Measuring and analyzing user behavior using data and usage metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensuring high code quality, technical excellence, and strong delivery capabilities.
• Technology stack: Frontend, Mobile, Full Stack, AWS, Flutter, Vue.js, React, Node.js, Go, AI, Graphics, UI/UX.

Requirements -

• 15 years of proven Frontend expertise (Backend / Full Stack experience is not relevant for this role).
• Strong experience developing consumer-facing applications serving large user bases.
• Hands-on experience with React and Vue.js.
• Experience in at least one of the following domains: Android, UI/UX, or Flutter.
• Proven experience working at scale, with high-traffic, performance-critical systems.
