R&D Medical Engineer

Description

1. Electronics and Circuit Design

· Design and layout of PCBs using KiCad or similar tools - experience in independent design or managing subcontractors.

· Component selection, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

2. Software Development

· Embedded (C/C++/Arduino), Python, MATLAB.

· Firmware development for microcontrollers and integration - experience in independent design or managing subcontractors.

· System-level thinking, software architecture, development of testing and automation tools.

· Building and supporting experimental interfaces (internal and customer-based), data processing, and analysis.

· Development and validation of signal processing algorithms.

3. Mechanics

· Proficiency in SolidWorks - creating models, assemblies, and production drawings.

· Knowledge and experience in various manufacturing processes (DFM), small-batch production, and scale-up.

· Good understanding of materials and their applications (metals, plastics, ceramics, etc.).

· Engineering calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), hands-on prototyping, and testing methods.

Professional Requirements

1. B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical / Mechanical / Biomedical / Aeronautical Engineering.

2. Experience in R&D and project management of medical device development.

3. Previous work in multidisciplinary environments integrating hardware and software.

4. Hands-on experience in validation, integration, and testing from prototype to final product.

5. Strong documentation skills - experience working in regulated environments and maintaining R&D documentation.

6. Knowledge of medical standards (ISO 13485, MDR, FDA) - advantage.

7. Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors - advantage.
