Postdoctoral Position (50%) | Public Health × Data Science

2-year project | Large-scale health data & clinical text

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a background in public health, epidemiology, psychology, or a related field, and strong data-science skills, primarily in Python.

The project focuses on developing statistical and machine-learning approaches to analyze large-scale administrative and clinical datasets, including unstructured free text, with the goal of identifying early risk patterns related to child well-being and safety outcomes.

Desired profile

• PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Psychology, Data Science, or related discipline
• Experience working with large datasets
• Strong proficiency in Python (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyMC / NLP tools)
• Experience or interest in machine learning, NLP, or predictive modeling in health contexts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team
