Seeking a researcher for funded research in dynamics and vibrations. Duration 2 years (or more). Could be postdoctoral research or toward a higher degree (e.g., PhD). Work could be analytical, numerical, or experimental (collaboration with Lab members).
The research concerns a novel approach to:
1) Non-destructive testing (NDT) of cellular metal parts produced by 3D printing (the method uses special ultrasonic excitation, control, and signal processing).
2) Detecting defects in layered composite materials using an automatic tapping device operating in a closed loop. The method uses special signal processing and data-based modeling.
