Tech Lead – Integration Team (Node.js)🚀

A fast-growing global FinTech company is expanding its R&D center in Tel Aviv and is looking for a Tech Lead to join its Integration Team.

The company builds modern, large-scale payment solutions that enable merchants worldwide to accept cards and alternative payment methods with speed, reliability, and security.

The Integration Team is a core part of the platform, responsible for backend APIs and services that integrate with payment providers, orchestrate complex payment flows, and support high-volume global transactions.

We’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead with strong backend expertise and a leadership mindset, who wants to take ownership, influence architecture, and play a key role in a rapidly growing global product.

💡 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of Node.js microservices for payment integrations.
• Drive end-to-end integrations with new payment providers and alternative payment methods.
• Work closely with Core, SDK, and Application teams to ensure smooth, platform-wide flows.
• Define engineering best practices, code quality standards, and review processes.
• Mentor and support engineers across different seniority levels.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, observability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive long-term technical improvements.
• Influence the technical roadmap and contribute to strategic technical decisions.

✅ Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong Node.js expertise.
• Strong understanding of REST, gRPC, async processing, and event-driven architectures.
• Proven experience designing and scaling distributed microservices.
• Hands-on experience with payments / fintech systems (big plus).
• Cloud experience with AWS, containerization (Docker / Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to lead technical discussions.
• A leadership mindset with a high level of ownership, autonomy, and passion for mentoring others.
