Software Team Leader

StarkWare, Israel's largest deep-tech blockchain company and a global leader in blockchain infrastructure, has developed technology that overcomes the blockchain industry’s key challenge: scalability. By applying zero-knowledge proofs, StarkWare enables tens of thousands of transactions per second with reduced costs, preserving security and privacy.

Its Layer 2 innovation, Starknet, operates on Ethereum and potentially Bitcoin, allowing developers to build decentralized, scalable, and cost-effective applications on the blockchain.

StarkWare is looking for a Software Team Leader.

In this role, you'll lead a team of Backend engineers developing our core product. The initial period will be dedicated to pure hands-on work as part of the onboarding process: designing and developing complex high-performance, high-quality software, spanning across algorithms, application logic, and infrastructure. After this initial period and subject to performance, you will transition into leading a team.

Our system is built in a microservices architecture that interacts with external systems (such as the blockchain and our partners’ systems) and meets demanding performance, resilience, and security requirements. The code is written mostly in Rust and Python and utilizes continuous delivery and automated testing methodologies.

What are we looking for?

• B.Sc. in Computer Science from a University (with a high GPA)
• 5+ years of development experience in a high-level object-oriented language (preference for Python and C++)
• Experience building complex, high-scale, high-performance software
• Natural curiosity, quick learner and great interpersonal skills
• Passion for tech leadership and sharing knowledge
