🔬 We’re Hiring: Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) – Photonics / Laser Research
A deep-tech startup developing high-speed optical and laser-based devices is looking for a CSO to lead the scientific vision, photonic research, and algorithmic innovation behind its core technology.
What you’ll do
• Define and lead the scientific roadmap for laser-based and photonic systems
• Lead optical, photonic, laser & algorithm research teams
• Drive innovation from experimental physics to customer-ready products
• Own advanced optical experiments, measurements, and validation
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customers
• Represent the company as its scientific authority
What we’re looking for
• PhD in Experimental / Applied Physics / Electro-Optics
(Ivy League or leading Israeli university)
• Deep hands-on experience with optical devices, lasers, or photonic systems
• 7+ years in senior leadership (CSO / CTO / Scientific Director)
• Proven delivery of commercial products
• Direct management of optical / photonic research teams
• Strong product and market orientation
