We’re looking for an experienced Data Science Team Leader to join a leading insurance company and lead a team of four Data Scientists. If you’re passionate about building scalable ML solutions, driving innovation, and mentoring top talent—this role is for you.
As the Data Science Team Leader, you will guide the team in developing advanced models and analytics for customer insights, risk prediction, fraud detection, and process optimization. You will own the full project lifecycle—from ideation to production—while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning.
- 3+ years of team leadership experience in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with ML platform components: Feature Store, Model Registry, Experiment Tracking, etc.
- Must: Experience with modern ML platforms (DataIKU, SageMaker, Iguazio, or similar).
- Proven experience taking ML projects from concept to large-scale production.
- Strong programming skills (Python/R) and solid SQL knowledge.
- Strong understanding of ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and visualization tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop).
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes – advantage.
