Your Role And Responsibilities

IBM Research is pioneering technologies that empower AI-agent developers to build smarter, more reliable systems. Our Agent Analytics project focuses on generating actionable insights and recommendations from traces collected during agent execution on benchmarks, test suites, and production environments. By leveraging foundation models, NLP techniques, machine learning, statistical analysis, software engineering, and advanced evaluation methods, we aim to help developers optimize and innovate in this rapidly evolving domain.

As a Summer Intern, You Will

• Research & Innovate: Explore novel approaches for analyzing agent behavior and generating insights using LLMs, ML, and statistical techniques.
• Develop & Experiment: Implement prototypes, run experiments on agent traces, and validate methods.
• Collaborate: Work closely with IBM researchers to advance ideas into impactful solutions and publications in top-tier venues.
  
  

• Currently enrolled MSc or PhD student in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Strong background in LLMs, ML, AI Agents, or NLP.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Ability to conduct research and implement experimental solutions.
  
  

• Familiarity with agent evaluation frameworks and analytics tools.
• Experience with statistical modeling and data-driven insights.
• Previous research experience or publications in AI-related domains.
