We’re looking for an exceptional Head of AI to lead our end-to-end AI strategy inside the R&D org of a cutting-edge medical company.
This role owns AI, data, and multimodal model development from prototype to production — and requires both strong leadership and deep technical competence.
What you’ll do- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary AI group (ML engineers, researchers, data teams)
- Own the data & AI roadmap, architecture, and delivery within R&D
- Build and scale large multimodal models, including transformers, agents, and reasoning systems
- Drive data reliability, validations, and end-to-end pipelines
- Work closely with product, biology, and clinical teams to translate scientific questions into real AI impact
- Strong people manager with experience leading technical teams
- Hands-on background in AI/ML, including training and deploying large models
- Experience with multimodal systems, ML infra, MLOps, and production AI
- Ability to take full ownership, think long-term, and execute fast
- Advantage: experience in healthcare, biology, or other deep-tech domains
