System Engineer – Ground & Airborne Platforms

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to join complex, multidisciplinary projects involving ground and airborne platforms.

The role includes full end-to-end system engineering: defining and writing system requirements, designing hardware–firmware–software integrated systems, leading engineering processes, and supporting all development phases.

The position involves deep understanding of signal behavior, RF chains, transmitted/received code over the air, and RF filtering, along with cataloging system items and maintaining system documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead system engineering activities across complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Define, develop, and document system requirements (SRD), design specifications, and ICDs.
• Design and analyze systems combining hardware, firmware, software, and RF, while maintaining effective technical communication with all engineering disciplines.
• Perform system integration and system-level testing.
• Work with RF and lab equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, and additional test instruments.
• Conduct and present technical reviews to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with and manage subcontractors as needed.
• Participate in technical evaluations, demonstrations, and field activities in Israel and abroad.

Mandatory Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in System Engineering, including leading engineering processes.
• At least 3–4 years of hands-on experience in hardware system design, with the ability to communicate effectively with software engineers in integrated HW–FW–SW–RF environments.
• Strong knowledge in RF engineering: signal interpretation, transmission/receiving processes, RF filters, and RF chain behavior.
• Proven experience in writing system documentation, defining system requirements, and specifying interfaces.
• High proficiency in English (speaking and technical writing).
• Experience working with RF and lab test equipment.
• High learning capability, strong system-level thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Availability for business travel, including abroad.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with military standards and defense-industry development methodologies.
• Experience working in navigation domains (GNSS, inertial systems, or similar).
• Experience managing or interfacing subcontractors.
• Strong presentation and technical review skills.
