Nick Academy is seeking a skilled WordPress developer who is comfortable working with modern development workflows. This role is intended for developers who prefer building systems through code rather than relying on traditional WP Admin tools and plugins. Our tech stack is based on Roots Bedrock and Sage, and we are looking for someone excited to work within this structured, modular, and scalable environment.

You will be responsible for creating custom themes, maintaining integrations, and ensuring clean, maintainable code. The position also requires hands-on work with analytics, billing systems, and server-side configuration.

• Freelance / project-based engagement
• Flexible working hours
• Collaboration conducted on-site at our Tel Aviv office as needed

• Develop WordPress sites using Bedrock architecture
• Build custom themes using Sage, including Blade templating and Tailwind CSS
• Manage plugins and dependencies via Composer
• Work with GitHub for version control and project collaboration
• Manage separated environments (development, staging, production)
• Integrate and maintain billing systems such as Stripe, WooCommerce, and Tranzila
• Set up and maintain data connectivity, API integrations, and provide ongoing technical support
• Implement Verified User API calls and related backend logic
• Configure and optimize analytics implementations, including:
• GA4 / GTM
• Singular
• Facebook Pixel
• Event tracking and custom measurement setups

• Strong familiarity with WordPress development through code, not WP Admin
• Basic experience with Bedrock, Composer, or similar PHP dependency managers
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
• Willingness to learn Sage and Blade templating
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently

• Experience with Sage, Tailwind CSS, or component-based theme development
• Understanding of build tools such as Vite or Webpack
• Experience integrating analytics, event tracking, or payment systems
• Familiarity with modern PHP and templating methodologies
• Self-driven, fast learner, and comfortable working in a structured development environment
