Job Title: Electro-Optical Systems Technical Manager

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Technical Manager to lead the system engineering discipline of our advanced airborne Electro-Optical / IR (EO/IR) mission systems and payloads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical leadership of multi-disciplinary EO system engineering teams (system architects, EO physicists, algorithm developers, HW/SW engineers)
• Full ownership of the EO system lifecycle: requirements definition, architecture design, integration, verification, qualification, and field support
• Close coordination with customers, subcontractors, and certification authorities
• Technical mentoring and professional development of the EO system engineering team

Required Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering / Physics (M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electro-Optics, EE, or Physics – strong advantage)
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a senior Electro-Optical Systems Engineer in the defense/aerospace industry
• At least 3 years in a technical leadership / team management role (formal or informal)
• Deep hands-on experience in design, development, integration, and qualification of airborne EO/IR payloads (MWIR/LWIR/SWIR, laser designators, etc.)
• Expert-level proficiency in MATLAB/Python (modeling, simulation, algorithm development, data analysis) – a must
• Strong background in EO signal and image processing, servo control, and real-time systems – significant advantage
• Military background from IDF elite technological units (8200, 81, Ofek, Talpiot, etc.) – strong advantage
• Proven system-level thinking with excellent technical presentation and documentation skills
• Fluent English (written and spoken) – must
