Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in building a greenfield, cloud-native data platform that powers an AI-driven Agri-Tech ecosystem.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on designing a modern, scalable, serverless-first data infrastructure and collaborating closely with development and data science teams.

• Architect and build a serverless-first data platform on Azure or AWS, supporting tabular, unstructured, and graph data.
• Lead the design and operation of the Data Control Tower: data quality rules, lineage, metadata, anomaly detection, observability (logs/metrics/tracing), and SLA management.
• Develop and maintain ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, and embedding-generation pipelines.
• Engineer for robustness and scale using autoscaling, multi-AZ deployments, and disaster-recovery policies (RTO/RPO).
• Implement FinOps best practices: tiered storage, caching, budget alerts, and right-sizing.
• Package and serve ML models and datasets as secure, versioned APIs and services.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation), enforce IAM, secrets management, and private networking.
• Maintain SOC-aligned security and compliance across the data lifecycle.

• 5+ years of experience building and operating modern cloud-based data platforms (Azure or AWS) -Must
• Strong expertise in serverless architectures (Functions/Lambda, Glue/Data Factory, Event Hubs/Kinesis).
• Experience with lakehouse frameworks (Delta, Iceberg, Hudi).
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL - Must
• Hands-on experience with data-quality and lineage tooling (Great Expectations / Deequ).
• Experience with graph data models (Gremlin / Cypher) is a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, networking, security, and cost optimization -Must
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English and Hebrew.
