Quality Assurance Manager

A leading defense manufacturing plant is seeking an experienced QA Manager with a strong technological background in an electronics production environment.

Position Description:

• Lead the company’s quality policy across R&D, manufacturing engineering, operations, and marketing departments.
• Measure and continuously improve key quality metrics while optimizing control processes.
• Manage and lead failure investigations, identify root causes, define corrective actions, and ensure full implementation.
• Oversee supplier and subcontractor quality (domestic and international), including in-process audits, quality event management, periodic assessments, and continuous improvement processes.
• Prepare for and lead external quality audits conducted by customers and/or regulatory bodies.
• Maintain responsibility for work procedures, ensuring alignment with the company’s quality policy, including updates and practical implementation.
• Manage the Quality Control (QC) department.
• Key organizational standards include: AS9100, MIL-STD-883, IPC-600/610/6023.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized academic institution.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in a medium or large manufacturing company.
• Background as a process engineer/technologist in micro-electronics production, with familiarity in processes such as soldering, mechanical assemblies, welding, PCBA, coatings, machining, and similar.
• Experience leading quality policy in compliance with international standards (automotive, aerospace, etc.).
• Experience in a defense company certified to AS9100 – a significant advantage.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with environmental stress screening and testing processes, including ESS and HASS.
• Management experience of a team of approx. 10 quality inspectors (incoming inspection, subcontractor inspection, in-process inspection).
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to engage employees and managers, lead continuous improvement, and manage conflicts across teams.
