Networking Expert

As a network expert you will be responsible for the reliability and operation of the Jerusalem light rail networks, including:

• Design, implement, and maintain networking infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices, ensuring high availability and performance for all company networks.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network problems and outages, and perform upgrades.
• Configure and optimize network hardware, network configurations while ensuring minimal network downtime.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure reliable network operation.
• Document network design, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures for reference and compliance purposes.
• Apply patches, updates, and configurations to network equipment on all platforms to ensure they are up-to-date and secured.

Requirements:

• At least five years of proven experience in network engineering or administration.
• Strong understanding of network architectures, protocols, and standards.
• Proven experience with MPLS network configurations and VPN services deployment. (VPRN & VPLS)
• Strong proficiency with Nokia & Alcatel CLI.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network protocols: RSVP, LDP, MG-BGP, EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, NTP, ERP, and RADIUS.
• Understanding and practical experience with EVPN technology – Advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Certified CCNP or equivalent.
• NOKIA certification level "NRS II" or equivalent certification from Cisco “CCIE R&S” – Advantage.
