Senior Finance Data Analyst

About the Company

trivago Innovation Center (formerly HOLISTO Ltd.) is seeking a passionate Senior Finance Data Analyst to join our team and lead our disruptive product on the B2C channel.

The ideal candidate should be able to develop effective and efficient data analysis solutions, interpret and communicate data-driven insights to inform decision-making, and support data-driven initiatives that drive business objectives.

About the Role

Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide insights into business performance. Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making. Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports on revenue, costs, profitability, and other key financial metrics. Responsible for importing, managing, and maintaining data from leading financial systems such as Stripe and Nuvei while ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy across multiple sources. Automate and streamline data collection processes to improve reporting efficiency. Continuously seek ways to improve data reporting processes, financial modeling, and forecasting accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide insights into business performance.
• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports on revenue, costs, profitability, and other key financial metrics.
• Perform financial reconciliation with business partners, focusing on payment reconciliation and ongoing monitoring of financial transactions.
• Responsible for importing, managing, and maintaining data from leading financial systems such as Stripe and Nuvei while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct cross-validation and verification of data between the company's internal systems and external systems, including sales data verification against payment service providers.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy across multiple sources.
• Automate and streamline data collection processes to improve reporting efficiency.
• Continuously seek ways to improve data reporting processes, financial modeling, and forecasting accuracy.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a Finance Data Analysis role.
• High proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with data visualization of large data sets using BI systems (Sisense, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
• Experience working with data warehouse/data lake tools such as Snowflake/ Athena/ Redshift/ BigQuery.
• Experience building ETL processes - An advantage.
• Knowledge/experience with the ELK stack and Grafana - An advantage.
• High level of English.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and apply them to facilitate performance optimizations.
• Able to work in a dynamic environment and with tight deadlines.
