Role Description

This is a full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, located on the Marcus Family Campus in Beer-Sheva. Responsibilities include conducting innovative research, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering, supervising research students, and contributing to departmental services and academic activities. The role also encompasses active collaboration with industry, participation in interdisciplinary research, and securing competitive research funding.

Qualifications

• A strong background in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven analytical skills for solving complex engineering problems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teaching, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination
• A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required
• Postdoctoral experience, a strong publication record,
• Commitment to academic excellence in teaching and research
• Fluency in English; familiarity with Hebrew is a plus but not mandatory
