About Us
We are CereBI, a deep-tech startup building an AI system for complex supply chains, tackling critical challenges in a space that has remained completely underserved. We’re developing an advanced multi-agent platform that combines AI, BI, real-time operational insights, and massive-scale data. If you’re looking to lead engineering that can transform an entire industry- this is the place.
We’re seeking an experienced, execution-driven, hands-on VP R&D to take full ownership of leading our development team and building the engineering foundations of the company. This role reports to the CTO and includes team leadership, establishing R&D processes, and driving the organization’s technological execution.
What You’ll Do
• Lead, mentor, and grow the development team while fostering a culture of ownership, excellence, and collaboration
• Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and execution in alignment with product and business goals
• Lead the development of large-scale Backend and Frontend systems
• Contribute directly to the codebase, perform code reviews, and maintain high engineering standards
• Own architectural decisions, tooling selection, and development methodologies
• Partner with the CTO on the technology roadmap, team structure, and hiring
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and robust engineering processes
• Ensure system performance, scalability, security, and reliability
What We’re Looking For
• 7+ years of software development experience, including building large-scale production systems
• Proven management experience leading development teams and working in Agile environments
• Strong architectural and system-design capabilities
• Hands-on experience with the following technologies:
o Backend: Node.js, REST API development
o Frontend: React
o Cloud: AWS (Lambda, EC2, IAM, deployment pipelines)
o Databases: MongoDB and RDS (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with tactical, hands-on execution
Strong Pluses
• Experience with real-time or streaming systems (Kafka / Kinesis / WebSockets)
• Proficiency in Python
• Background in building or integrating ML/AI systems into production
• Experience with data warehouses (Redshift / BigQuery / Snowflake)
• Previous experience in fast-paced startup environments
