System Engineer Communication Systems

We are looking for a System Engineer specializing in communication and avionics systems to join the Conversions & Upgrades Center within the Aviation Group. The role involves engineering advanced airborne mission and communication systems for combat platforms, supporting operational capabilities for the Israeli Air Force and international customers.

Key Responsibilities

• System engineering for the development of airborne mission computers and communication systems for combat platforms
• Define system architecture, derive requirements, and prepare hardware, software, and infrastructure specifications
• Prepare and present design reviews (PDR, CDR)
• Perform system integration and testing in both lab and aircraft environments
• Write and execute system acceptance test plans (lab and flight)
• Define flight-test requirements and analyze test results
• Provide end-to-end project support: development, testing, trials, serial production, and customer interface
• Ensure adherence to project milestones, quality standards, and delivery commitments
• Collaborate with external stakeholders including customers, subcontractors, and partners

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Engineering (Aerospace / Computer / Electrical & Electronics) – required
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering – advantage
• Experience or familiarity with airborne C4I, radio systems, or data-link communication – required
• Good technical English (reading, speaking, writing) – required
• Experience or familiarity with military avionics systems, interfaces, and standards – significant advantage
• Experience in designing and implementing development and integration processes for multidisciplinary systems - preferably avionics – advantage
• Air Force background in avionics systems engineering, flight-test engineering, or techno-operational roles – advantage
• Knowledge or familiarity with RF, digital signal processing, waveforms, and communication protocols - advantage
