Senior Backend Developer

Location: Rosh Ha'ayin, Afek Park (On site, full-time).

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with approximately 10 years of experience for a central and impactful technological role. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of our backend systems, technically lead a compact development team (2-3 developers), and serve as the highest technical authority in the domain.

The role requires 80% hands-on coding and is focused on the ongoing maintenance of our systems, performance optimization, and the design and leadership of new feature development.

Responsibilities:

●      End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for the design, development, and maintenance of the core backend systems (based on Node.js).

●      Technical Leadership: Provide professional leadership and ongoing mentoring to team members, including code reviews and setting development standards.

●      Optimization & Performance: Proactively analyze and optimize system and database (MySQL) performance.

●      Development & Maintenance: Manage routine maintenance tasks and lead the development of new features, from the planning stage through to production.

●      Decision Making: Make day-to-day technical and architectural decisions concerning the system.

Qualifications:

●      Approximately 10 years of experience in Backend development.

●      Proven, deep experience with Node.js.

●      Deep understanding and practical experience implementing Design Patterns.

●      Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

●      Strong knowledge of SQL and specific experience with MySQL.

●      Proven experience with AWS, with emphasis on EC2, RDS, and Redshift.

●      Hands-on experience with Docker.

●      Experience working in a LINUX environment.

●      Full mastery of Git (including understanding complex workflows).

●      Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

●      Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD principles.

Advantages:

●      Previous experience in managing or leading a development team.

●      Development experience with Vue.js.

●      Experience in designing Microservices architecture.

●      Familiarity with other languages (such as Python, Java, or PHP).
