We are looking for a 10x Backend Developer who is a Master of Building robust backend systems, designing scalable services, and solving hard engineering problems with clarity and precision.

Role Overview

As a Backend Developer at GenOr, you will architect and implement the core services, APIs, and data flows that power our entire platform. You will work closely with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver highly reliable, scalable backend systems. This role requires strong expertise in Python and/or .NET, deep understanding of cloud-based architecture, and hands-on experience building production-grade services.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, .NET, and modern frameworks.
• Design and implement clean, scalable APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC).
• Own core platform backend features end-to-end — requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment.
• Build integrations with third-party systems, data sources, and external APIs.
• Develop scalable, reliable microservices and background workers.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, security, and observability.
• Collaborate with FE and platform teams to ensure smooth data flows across the system.
• Establish backend architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Write testable, maintainable, production-grade code.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructure setup.

Requirements

Must Have

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and/or .NET (C#).
• Deep experience building platform services, distributed systems, or multi-module applications.
• Cloud experience — preferably Azure (App Services, Functions, Kubernetes, Storage, Messaging).
• Strong understanding of:
• Databases (SQL & NoSQL)
• Authentication/Authorization standards
• Service architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven)
• Caching, messaging queues, and performance tuning
• Experience building and consuming structured APIs.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to think in systems and build for scale, reliability, and maintainability.

Nice to Have

• Experience with:
• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools
• Docker/Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools
• Distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring stacks
• Data pipelines or ETL systems
• Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding
• Exposure to event streaming tools (Kafka, Event Hubs, Redis Streams)
