I am recruiting exceptional PhD students and Postdocs to join my research lab at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, specifically within the Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences (DDS).
My lab's mission is to develop fundamentally new perspectives on Deep Learning by pursuing creative, unconventional, elegant and mathematically rigorous ideas. We bridge theory with practical application, focusing on foundational principles (e.g., Linear Algebra, Geometry, Dynamical Systems) to build models that are interpretable, stable, and adaptive in complex, real-world settings.
The lab is located in Haifa, Israel, and offers competitive scholarships and access to significant compute resources.
Candidate Profile- Exceptional Talent: I seek researchers who are highly creative, exceptional, and persistent. We look for "get things done" individuals with demonstrable initiative. The candidate needs to be curious, independent thinker with their own vision.
- Background: Prior experience and publications in Deep Learning are highly valued. However, I am also strongly open to candidates with an outstanding background in Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative fields.
- For Postdocs: You are expected to have an interesting publication record (in deep learning or your original field).
