Teacher for Beginning German

The Humanities and Arts Department at the Technion is seeking a German language instructor.

About the Role

We are looking for an insructor who can teach engaging German courses to undergraduate students on site.

We usually teach at least one beginning German class every semester.

Our ideal candidate brings both strong language skills and a passion for helping diverse learners succeed using the 4-skills (CEFR) method.

Qualifications

• at least Near-native proficiency in German
• Speak Hebrew and/or English.
• Proficient with MOODLE.
• Proven experience teaching German preferably at the university or high-school level.
• Ability to design clear, effective lessons that support students with mixed backgrounds
• Master’s degree in German, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (advantage)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style

Responsibilities

• Teach at the beginner (and possibly intermediate levels in the future).
• Support students as they build practical communication skills.
• Build on existing materials to improve as well as supplement curriculum and assessment.
• Strong skills working with online resources.
• Contribute to a positive, student-focused learning environment
