We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who enjoys solving hard systems problems and building reliable services that scale. You’ll work on the core backend of SOURCIX’s SaaS platform and marketplace, collaborating closely with product, data, and frontend teams.

This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership end-to-end: design solutions, implement them cleanly, and run them confidently in production.

Backend Services & APIs

• Design, build, and maintain backend services, public APIs, and internal tools.
• Implement features based on product and technical requirements, with attention to correctness and edge cases.
• Own services end-to-end: from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring.

Reliability, Performance & Security

• Ensure services remain stable, performant, and safe in production.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues quickly and methodically.
• Apply security best practices across application code, infrastructure, and data flows.

Infrastructure & Delivery

• Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling to increase velocity and reduce risk.

Collaboration & Execution

• Work closely with product and engineering to define solutions and tradeoffs.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to team standards, and help raise engineering quality.
• Iterate rapidly based on feedback, data, and evolving product needs.

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Solid hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (queries, schema design basics, migrations).
• Practical work with RabbitMQ (producers, consumers, routing patterns).
• Experience with Redis (caching strategies, pub/sub, distributed locks).
• Confident use of Docker and containerized environments.
• User-level experience with Kubernetes (deployments, logs, debugging).
• Basic Linux command-line skills.
• Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with at least one cloud provider: GCP / AWS / Azure.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, etc.).
• Strong understanding of backend system interactions: networking, queues, caching, databases.
• Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) responsibly — improving productivity while maintaining code quality, security, and reliability.

• Python and/or FastAPI experience.
• Frontend basics (e.g., Vue.js or similar).
• Experience with MongoDB or other document databases.
• Prior work on B2B SaaS platforms, marketplaces, or workflow-heavy products.
