Senior Data Engineer

Octup is a real-time, dynamic operations and analytics AI platform purpose-built for 3PLs and eCommerce businesses. We unify data from different data sources into a centralized source of truth—powering internal efficiency, customer visibility, billing, and strategic growth. • Lead technical design and implementation of major software components, systems, and features across teams.
• Work with a variety of programming languages, systems, and cloud technologies, including: Python, DBT, Looker, Airflow, Kubernetes, AWS / GCP, Terraform
• Apply your technical experience in performance, architecture, interfaces and engineering best practices to face cutting-edge data related challenges.
• Help build a data driven culture of quality and innovation by leading cross-team collaboration and execution of projects delivering high value to customers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Deep knowledge with Python.
• building complex, large-scale applications based on big data.
• building cloud based scalable products AWS / GCP.
• Monitoring approach for understanding before and after your customers
• Working with Micro-services, dockers and familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Experience in data analysis, generating insights and data modeling.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fast learner you can quickly master concepts, discipline and methods
• Experience troubleshooting issues related to "Distributed Big Data Computing" environment as well as DevOps tooling
• Background of Backend Engineer experience will be an advantage.
