GitLab Platform Architect & Professional Services Leader 234014

We are seeking an experienced GitLab Platform Architect & Professional Services (PS) Leader to drive strategic DevSecOps transformations for our enterprise customers. This role blends deep GitLab and DevOps expertise with strong leadership and customer-facing capabilities. You will architect complex solutions, lead high-impact engagements, and ensure successful delivery across multiple enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead GitLab platform architecture and implementation across diverse enterprise environments, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
• Work directly with major customers to understand requirements, define technical strategies, and deliver tailored GitLab-based DevSecOps solutions.
• Oversee Professional Services delivery teams, ensuring high-quality execution, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and integrations with cloud, security, and monitoring ecosystems.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on DevSecOps maturity, GitLab adoption, and platform scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to support pre-sales activities, solution design, and customer feedback loops.
• Develop reusable assets, reference architectures, and best practices to support scalable delivery.
• Mentor and upskill internal teams and customer stakeholders on GitLab capabilities and DevOps methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or professional services roles.
• Proven expertise with GitLab (self-managed and/or SaaS), including CI/CD, runners, security features, and ecosystem integrations.
• Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, GitOps, and secure software delivery pipelines.
• Experience leading customer-facing engagements, managing stakeholders, and delivering complex technical projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• GitLab Certifications (Associate, CI/CD Specialist, Architect).
• Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government).
• Familiarity with tools such as Vault, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
• Background in software development or enterprise architecture.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
