About Us

Gilas Way is an Israeli nonprofit organization dedicated to suicide treatment & prevention, and mental health education. Our team is committed to building compassionate, impactful programs and services that save lives.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Gila's Way to lead day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth execution of our programs. We are looking for a senior-level professional with strong organizational and people-management skills, the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans, and a passion for making a real impact in mental health. The role requires native-level Hebrew and high-level English, and offers a remote work setup with occasional in-person meetings in the Beit Shemesh area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, and turn strategic goals into actionable plans.
  • Supervise staff and department leads; ensure smooth cross-team coordination.
  • Build and refine internal systems, workflows, and policies.
  • Oversee budgets, expense tracking, and financial reporting with accounting support.
  • Manage grants administration and compliance (if applicable).
  • Monitor organizational performance and report progress to the CEO/Board.
  • Support fundraising and partnerships through operational and data coordination.
  • Coordinate PR/media outreach and manage press opportunities with agency partners.
  • Maintain donor and partner databases.

Qualifications

  • Senior-level experience in operations/program leadership.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and people-management skills.
  • Ability to translate vision into systems and measurable outcomes.
  • High emotional intelligence and alignment with our mission of suicide prevention.
  • High level English & Hebrew required.
