Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our data team and take end-to-end ownership of data & analytics projects. This is a one-person, end-to-end role: from understanding the business needs on the factory floor, through data modeling and ETL, to building dashboards and delivering insights to stakeholders.

You will report to the project manager (Data & Digital Applications).

Key responsibilities

• Collecting and analyzing business requirements from manufacturing, operations and maintenance stakeholders
• Translating business needs into data models, KPIs and analytics solutions
• Hands-on development of ELT processes using dbt in an AWS environment (Redshift, S3, Lambda, Glue)
• Writing complex SQL queries and optimizing performance
• Building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, including DAX measures
• Providing end-to-end service to the customer .
• Working independently on a dedicated roadmap for the plant, while aligning with the central data team
• Managing timelines, estimating effort and delivering according to plan
• Collaborating with the plant teams on the factory floor, gaining deep understanding of manufacturing processes and pain points
• Driving a can-do, service-oriented approach and building strong relationships with stakeholders

Must-have requirements

• Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer / BI Developer / Data Engineer working end-to-end (from requirements to dashboards)
• Strong SQL skills
• Hands-on experience with dbt
• Experience working in an AWS data environment – preferably with Redshift, S3, Lambda, Glue
• Experience with Power BI and DAX
• Strong business understanding in manufacturing / operations / maintenance domains – experience in a plant/industrial environment is a significant advantage
• High level of independence, ownership .
• Strong service orientation and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Nice-to-have

• Experience with SAP and/or Pi
• Previous projects in manufacturing plants or industrial companies
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders on-site (operations, production, maintenance, management)

Work model

• Full-time position
• Hybrid: approx. 3 days a week on-site at the office, 2 days from home (with some flexibility depending on project needs)
• We are looking for a candidate from the south who can commute to Dimona.
