Senior Production Technologist

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Technologist to lead our Process and Technology Department at a company that develops and manufactures RF assemblies for the defense and aerospace sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of process and equipment engineers.
• Oversee manufacturing processes across the factory and subcontractor sites, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Define, improve, and adapt production processes to a changing environment.
• Initiate and lead projects to enhance quality and efficiency of manual and automated manufacturing processes.
• Define, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing processes on production lines.
• Support R&D in developing new products, including DFM, adapting BOMs, production processes, environmental testing processes, and prototype manufacturing.
• Manage product transfer from development to production, including writing or updating work instructions, verifying assembly drawings and routing cards, and adapting specialized production tools.
• Actively participate in failure investigations and implement preventive actions for various issues, including customer complaints, supplier defects, and production faults.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Chemical Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading process engineering teams in manufacturing high-tech companies, in areas such as PCBA, Chip & Wire assemblies, or Hybrid production.
• Deep knowledge and professional authority in various manufacturing processes, including soldering, bonding, coatings, SMT assemblies, laser welding, and painting.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and MIL STD 883 standards is a strong advantage.
• Extensive experience in PCB manufacturing and testing, component placement processes (PCBA), and knowledge of relevant standards such as IPC 600/610/612 is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to learn and understand theoretical processes, predict weak points based on product and environment conditions, and adapt testing to verify manufacturing process reliability.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, motivate team members and peers, assertiveness, professional presentation to customers and suppliers, and teamwork skills.
• Security clearance will be required for this role.
