Head of Naval Systems Directorate | Ashdod | ELTA Division | Israel Aerospace Industries

We are looking for a Head of Naval Systems Directorate to join Mishgav Plant in IAI’s ELTA Division.

The position includes:

• Managing business development and marketing of the Directorate with the Israeli Navy and global clients, including collaboration with shipyards and international defense manufacturers.
• Leading and executing organizational processes and projects at the Directorate level, including budget management, delivery of project milestones, annual performance targets, goal setting for department heads, and development of human capital.
• Defining future development directions of the Directorate as part of Mishgav Plant’s strategic vision.
• Collaborating with IAI’s naval-related divisions to establish business partnerships and cross-organizational synergies.
• Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and working closely with Marketing, HR, and Operations departments.

What we are looking for:

Mandatory Requirements

• Israeli citizenship – required
• B.Sc. in Engineering or Science (Electronics, Software, Industrial Engineering, etc.) – required
• Minimum 3 years of management experience as a Department Head / Business / Operational / Engineering Unit Manager or similar – required
• Direct management experience of at least 9 employees – required
• Proven experience working directly with international customers – required
• Experience leading negotiations with defense customers – required
• Experience managing engineering or project activities with a scope of $50M or more, and/or in equivalent senior technical/managerial roles involving radar or complex electronic systems – required

Preferred Qualifications

• System-level understanding of radar systems and their integration with other naval systems (interception, C2,)
• M.Sc. in Engineering or MBA – advantage
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technical and business domains
• Familiarity with naval systems – advantage
• High proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
