Your Role And Responsibilities

If you’re a student interested in generative-AI, deep learning, computer vision or natural language processing, and you’re looking to come to a summer intern position where you will do research with academic and industrial impact, then this position is for you! Our team develops innovative technologies, models, and algorithms that shape the future of AI and impact IBM products.

We are dedicated to publishing cutting-edge research in leading AI conferences and filing patents based on the work we do.As an intern, You’ll work alongside leading researchers on cutting-edge projects in AI, with a focus on multimodal models and generative models.

Your work will focus on developing and optimizing systems that seamlessly integrate diverse data modalities—such as text, images, and structured data to extract meaningful structured representations using advanced AI techniques and to build intelligent, adaptive, and scalable solutions.

Potential Areas Of Exploration Include

Generative approaches for structured data extraction from unstructured sources

Embedding models for multimodal understanding and retrieval

Designing large scale AI-based data generation pipelinesYou may explore techniques such as vision-language and generative AI methods to address challenges in this domain. Succeeding in these tasks is anticipated to have a meaningful influence on the research community in these exciting fields and result in a publication in a leading venue (e.g., CVPR, ICLR, ICCV) Join us to make a meaningful impact on the future of multimodal AI.

Our summer internship program offers you an opportunity to join our research team for a 3 months internship (working 5 days a week) in either Haifa or Tel Aviv sites (according to each internship). During the internship, you will be working with our talented researchers on top projects, helping create the next generation of AI, security, quantum, cloud and much more.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Current M.Sc. or Ph.D. student in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar)
• Experience in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Natural Language Processing
• Experience in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow (experience with transformers of VLLM is a plus)
• Experience with data analysis or synthetic data generation.
• Strong coding skills in Python
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning and discussing recent advancements in Deep Learning methods
• A collaborative team player with good communication skills
