Upstairs Games is a game development studio focused on realistic space development games. We're searching for a passionate UI designer to lead the development of a captivating user interface for our upcoming game.

Responsibilities

• Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain a uniform and consistent art style over the whole project, complying with guidelines.
• Actively engage in graphic research based on UX/Game requirements.
• Work closely with UX, game design, and development, to create an efficient UI and graphic design elements.
• Provide graphic assets in a well-organized and efficient manner.
• Create and manage PR graphic assets and other related materials as needed.

Skills

• Experience in UI and interactive design in the area of video games, websites, and apps, or other areas.
• A well-developed sense of visual aesthetics.
• Keen attention to details, and ability to drive concept development beyond initial implementation.
• Excellent articulation of design decisions.
• Solid knowledge of technical constraints and asset optimization.
• Genuine interest in typography.
• Great iconography skills.
• Awareness of current graphic and design trends in UI.
• Proactive and reliable team player.
• Expert in Figma and/or Adobe Suite, and prototyping software.
• Good written and verbal English skills.

Bonus

• Experience developing UI style guides.
• Skills in animation, motion design, and special effects.
• Familiarity with working in an agile project environment.
• Experience with Unity game engine.
• A significant advantage for candidates who are avid gamers.
