Embedded Computer Vision Engineer

One of our clients is looking for an Embedded Computer Vision Engineer with strong C++ and CUDA experience to take computer vision algorithms from research or prototype stages and bring them into robust, production-grade systems running on edge devices.

This role is highly hands-on and focused on porting, optimization, and real-time performance, rather than algorithm research. You will work close to the hardware, GPU, and operating system to ensure reliable, efficient execution under strict latency and resource constraints.

What You Will Do

• Port computer vision algorithms into production-quality C++ code running on embedded / edge platforms
• Optimize CV pipelines for real-time performance, low latency, and limited memory
• Develop and optimize CUDA-based GPU acceleration, including custom kernels when needed
• Profile and debug performance bottlenecks using GPU and system profiling tools
• Integrate algorithms into end-to-end pipelines: capture, preprocessing, compute, post-processing, and output
• Work closely with algorithm, system, and hardware teams to ensure smooth deployment to production
• Support deployment, validation, and long-term maintainability of edge-based CV systems

Required Qualifications

• Strong C++ experience in production environments
• Proven experience with CUDA and GPU programming (not only high-level frameworks)
• Background in Computer Vision (image processing, video pipelines, OpenCV, etc.)
• Experience deploying software on embedded or edge devices
• Solid understanding of real-time systems, performance optimization, and memory management
• Linux development experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms (Xavier, Orin, Nano)
• Experience with TensorRT, cuDNN, or GPU inference optimization
• Familiarity with GStreamer, V4L2, camera pipelines, or sensor integration
• Experience with multithreading, SIMD, or low-level performance tuning
• Robotics, autonomous systems, or edge AI background
