System Administrator Team Lead

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a System Administrator Team Lead for a leading organization in central Israel

Role Overview:

Lead and manage the organization’s infrastructure operations, including systems, databases, storage, and backup environments. The role includes managing and mentoring System, DevOps, and DBA teams, while leading complex technological projects and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end responsibility for infrastructure stability, availability, and performance
• Management and leadership of System, DevOps, and DBA teams
• Planning and execution of backups, recovery, and optimization processes
• Hands-on troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Vendor management and coordination with external service providers
• Driving DevOps processes and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure / system environments
• 3+ years of proven team leadership experience in a large organization
• Strong knowledge of OS, databases, storage, and backup solutions
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience managing integration teams – a strong advantage
