About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist who’s ready to shape the foundation of Lumina.ai. This is a broad and dynamic role that spans from research and model development to hands-on system building. You’ll face diverse challenges, working across industries to create prototypes, train models, and design scalable architectures.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with the founding team to shape Lumina.ai’s products, solutions, and overall technological direction
• Lead AI strategy and implementation processes for client companies, helping them identify, design, and integrate the right tools and data pipelines
• Build, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models across varied domains
• Design end-to-end data pipelines, from ingestion to deployment, ensuring scalability and performance
• Collaborate with product, design, and development teams to translate business needs into impactful technical solutions
• Research, test, and implement new AI frameworks, models, and technologies
• Contribute to Lumina.ai’s internal strategy and help define best practices for future projects
• Mentor junior team members and take ownership of technical execution

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer
• A startup mindset: independent, curious, fast, and execution-driven
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and the desire to collaborate across teams
• Passion for innovation, experimentation, and growth
• Full-stack experience or familiarity with backend/frontend systems is an advantage
