🚀 Senior Full Stack Engineer (Backend First)

We’re hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend backbone to join a small, highly autonomous R&D team building the future of mental healthcare.

This is a high ownership role for someone who enjoys thinking like an architect, shipping end to end systems, and making independent technical decisions rather than waiting for tickets to be handed down.

• Architect level ownership with real influence on core systems
• Small, senior team with minimal layers and fast decisions

• End to end impact from infrastructure and APIs to product logic

This is not a role focused on a single narrow service. You will own systems, decisions, and outcomes.

• Design and evolve backend architecture for a complex, event driven platform
• Act as a technical owner across domains including data models, APIs, infrastructure, and integrations
• Build and maintain scalable backend services in TypeScript and Node.js
• Work with event driven and domain oriented systems
• Own AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines end to end
• Lead backend decisions around performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate closely with product, clinical, and AI teams to ship meaningful features
• Drive AI powered capabilities into production

Must haves

• 3+ years of production experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Strong backend fundamentals and system design skills
• Hands on experience with AWS services including compute, queues, and container based deployments
• Solid experience with Docker and modern CI CD pipelines
• Experience working with relational databases and event driven architectures
• Comfortable working independently and owning technical decisions

Nice to haves

• Experience acting as a tech lead or architect in small teams
• Previous work in healthcare, mental health, or regulated environments
• Experience building or integrating AI and LLM based features
• Strong product intuition and comfort collaborating outside engineering

• High trust and high autonomy
• Ownership driven and async friendly
• Strong emphasis on clean systems, thoughtful tradeoffs, and pragmatic execution
• Long term product quality over short term velocity
