Security Operations Center Analyst

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a SOC Analyst for the Cyber Defense Department within the Technology Division of a large, well-known organization

Role Description

As part of the role, you will join a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) team within the organization’s cyber defense center.

The position involves monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cyber security incidents, operating SIEM systems and advanced security technologies, and documenting incidents through clear and structured reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring and analysis of security events in a 24/7 SOC environment

• Detection, handling, investigation, and response to cyber security incidents

• Ongoing operation of SIEM systems and advanced security tools

• Incident investigation, documentation, and report writing

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a SOC environment

• Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as Windows Event Logs, SIEM, EDR, and Firewalls

• Relevant training (Cyber Defense / SOC Analyst course), relevant academic degree, or relevant military experience

• High level of English (reading, writing, and speaking)

• Familiarity with the Threat Intelligence domain – an advantage
