Expert AI/ML Algorithm Developer – Speech/Audio

Job Description:

Q's ML team is growing, and we're looking for AI/ML algorithm developers to join us in advancing how machines model human communication. In this role, you'll work with unique proprietary data, design and implement new algorithms to process it, and build meaningful metrics to evaluate, iterate, and improve performance. Your work will shape our understanding of data quality and directly influence the end-to-end workflow—from research decisions to system design and deployment.

You'll have the opportunity to do both cutting-edge research and product-oriented development, including pushing model size and efficiency to the edge: optimizing models to run under tight compute, memory, and power constraints.

As a speech/audio algorithm developer, you'll work across the full stack, from classic audio signal processing to better understand and transform our data, to state-of-the-art ASR and modern NLP models trained at scale on large GPU clusters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in machine learning.
• 3+ years of experience in speech processing, including ASR and/or audio enhancement.
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing, experimental design, and performance evaluation.
• Strong understanding of ML concepts and practical proficiency with major toolkits (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience training modern deep learning models using frameworks such as Hugging Face, NeMo, and/or fairseq, and staying current with recent research.
  
  

• M.Sc. in computer science with a thesis in fields of AI / Data science and equivalents
• Ph.D is an advantage
