Your Role And Responsibilities

The IBM Research Lab in Israel is looking for exceptional students to join our innovative team and contribute to cutting-edge research. You will help advance state-of-the-art technologies focused on LLM-based agentic workflows, including the development of code-based (CodeAct) agents to deliver high-quality, high-performance solutions.

In This Position You Will

  • Develop code (primarily in Python) for agentic AI and CodeAct agents.
  • Conduct benchmarking and evaluation of AI workflows.
  • Gain hands-on experience with leading agentic AI platforms and tools.
  • Collaborate in a global team and apply best practices for effective teamwork.

This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge and practical skills in generative AI and data platforms. We expect approximately 20 hours/week during the academic year, with a preference for full-time availability during school breaks.

We’re looking for fast learners with strong programming skills. Experience with LLMs and generative AI is a plus.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • MSc student or BSc student (starting 5th semesters) in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Hands-on coding experience with strong Python programming skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with high motivation and strong self-learning capability.
  • Good command of English.
  • Legal authorization to work in Israel
