VP Human Resources
About The Role
An interesting startup company is looking for a strategic yet highly hands-on VP Human Resources to lead and own the global people function. This role is ideal for a leader who is eager to grow together with the company, understands the realities of a scaling startup, and is comfortable operating both at the strategic and execution levels.
The VP HR will be responsible for building a strong people strategy while actively driving day-to-day HR execution. A key focus of the role is creating and sustaining a culture of a winning team, characterized by ownership, collaboration, excellence, and commitment to being the best in our domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the entire HR function, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Experience & Well-being, and HR Operations.
- Define and execute a global HR strategy, while remaining deeply involved in hands-on execution.
- Build scalable hiring and onboarding processes globally, with continued support for U.S. hiring needs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team while personally driving key initiatives.
- Partner closely with founders, executives, and managers on organizational design, leadership development, and workforce planning.
- Support and coach managers at all levels; develop mid-level leaders and emerging managers.
- Build, nurture, and protect a strong organizational culture and a winning team mindset.
- Drive employee engagement, well-being, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Serve as an approachable, trusted point of contact for employees.
- Build and manage annual HR work plans aligned with company growth and priorities.
- Work effectively with senior leadership, board members, and investors.
- 5-7+ years of HR leadership experience in fast-growing tech or startup environments.
- Proven experience leading a full HR function end-to-end.
- Demonstrated success scaling at least one organization.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with a clear hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
- Desire and ability to grow with the company over time.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in cybersecurity is a strong advantage.
