Software Architect

A high-tech company that has developed a software solution helping telecommunications companies increase network capacity at lower costs.

The company is located in Tel Aviv (near a train line) and operates in a hybrid work model. It employs around 500 people globally, with the majority based in Israel.

The company is a unicorn and has raised a large Series C funding round.

The role-

• End-to-end ownership of system architecture and technical leadership for a cloud-native network automation platform
• Designing, evolving, and guiding scalable cloud-native architectures
• Leading architectural decisions across microservices-based systems
• Working closely with engineering teams on networking and distributed systems challenges
• Hands-on involvement with Kubernetes-based environments and containerized workloads
• Defining and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
• Working with event-driven and messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Development and design using Python, Go, and C++ / C

Requirements-

• 6 years of experience as a Software Architect, System Architect, or Systems Architect
• 6 years designing large-scale IP/MPLS or data-center networks
• 3 years focused on network automation
• Expert knowledge of NetConf/YANG, gNMI, or REST/JSON-RPC network APIs.
• Proven track record architecting micro-service or SaaS platforms on Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Proficiency with automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, Salt) and CI/CD (Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Solid understanding of observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and message buses (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Ability to convert complex requirements into clear design artifacts (sequence diagrams, data-flow, ERDs).
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
