Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Optics and Sensors Engineer, based in Raanana with flexibility for partial remote work. The engineer will design, develop, and test innovative optical and sensor systems for medical devices, analyze technical requirements, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include performing simulations, prototyping, and optimizing performance metrics for high-precision optical and sensing components. Additionally, the engineer will be involved in troubleshooting, reporting, and improving existing systems, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and certifications.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of optics principles, optical system design, and optical simulations
- Experience with sensors and data acquisition systems
- Proficiency in prototyping and testing of optical and sensor-based devices
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical challenges effectively
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance for medical devices
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools and simulation software
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, electrical engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Prior experience in the medical devices industry is an advantage
