Backend Engineer (Network & Systems Focus)

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to build the "brain" of a cybersecurity platform from the ground up.

Role Description

• From Zero to Architecture As one of our first technical hires, you won't just be writing features, you will be designing the foundational architecture that handles enterprise-grade traffic.
• Build from Scratch: Design and implement the core backend services that power our security engine.
• Deep-Packet Logic: Build systems that interact with network traffic, requiring a deep understanding of protocols and high-throughput data processing.
• Enterprise-Grade Infrastructure: Architect a cloud-native environment that meets the strict security and compliance requirements of global enterprises.
• Design for Performance: In cybersecurity, latency is the enemy. You will optimize services to ensure our security layer is as fast as it is invisible.

Qualifications

• The "Zero-to-One" Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity and excited to make high-stakes architectural decisions.
• Systems Languages: Proficiency in Go, C++, or Java is a major plus (or high-level mastery of Python with a focus on performance).
• Network Security Foundations: Deep knowledge of the OSI model, specifically L3–L7 protocols (TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, HTTP/S, DNS).
• Distributed Systems: Experience building resilient, scalable microservices that can handle bursts of enterprise-level traffic.
• Security Intuition: You don't just write code; you think like a defender. You understand concepts like encryption, identity, and attack vectors.
