A promising defense-tech company, developing disruptive technological solution (System-of-Systems) for dealing with large scale attacks, is looking for a Lead Propulsion Design Engineer. This role involves taking full ownership of the overall propulsion architecture & design, managing cross functional interfaces and leading system-level integrations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering/mechanical engineering
- Proven experience in the design or development of rocket engines
- Deep understanding of thermodynamics, compression flow, combustion, thermal design and gas dynamics.
- Experience in performing performance analysis and mass-thrust-energy calculations.
- Experience with relevant analysis tools. Familiarity with quality standards and MIL-STD – in the field of rocket propulsion.
- Familiarity with structural and thermal materials for high loads.
- Ability to work independently, a creative approach and hands-on in the laboratory and experiments.
- Experience with composite propellants and adjustable nozzles.
