Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is seeking an experienced Head of New Construction to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects across the university campus.

This is a senior management role with end-to-end responsibility for large-scale building projects, budgets, teams, and strategic development within one of Israel’s leading academic institutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all new construction projects at the university – from planning to delivery
Develop and execute annual and multi-year work plans in coordination with senior management
Manage project budgets, contracts, tenders, suppliers, consultants, and contractors
Ensure project delivery according to quality standards, timelines, and approved budgets
Coordinate closely with academic units and internal stakeholders
Oversee project handover, warranty periods, supervision, and quality control
Drive continuous improvement, define professional standards, and develop departmental capabilities
Manage and lead a multidisciplinary professional team

Requirements

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering (M.Sc. – advantage)
Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
Proven experience managing the planning and execution of complex, large-scale construction projects
Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and negotiations
Strong English communication skills
