We are looking for a Design System Product Designer to own the foundational layer of our Design System. You will build and maintain the design systems components and patterns, partner daily with engineering, and ensure perfect alignment between design, code, and documentation.

This role combines strong system craft, close design–engineering collaboration, and a forward-thinking approach to evolving the Design System by introducing AI-driven and design-to-code workflows (e.g., Vibe) that improve how the system is built, maintained, and adopted across Figma, Storybook, and design AI environments.

What You’ll Do

Design System Foundations

• Build, maintain, and evolve the design system (tokens, primitives, base UI elements).
• Design and define patterns that enable consistent design across products.
• Ensure pixel-to-code accuracy across Figma, Storybook, and implementation.
• Partner with engineers daily to define specs, test behaviors, resolve edge cases, and ensure component quality.
  
  

• Manage the Design System backlog: requests, fixes, audits, and improvements.
• Maintain system architecture, naming conventions, taxonomy, and contribution guidelines.
• Run versioning and release processes, ensuring teams stay aligned with updates.
  
  

• Explore and introduce AI-powered workflows that streamline the creation, documentation, and alignment of components and patterns with code.
• Use AI tools (Cursor, Figma Make, etc.) to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across Design System operations.
  
  

• Assist product designers in adopting components correctly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with product designers on new patterns and system expansions.
  
  

• 3+ years of product design experience, with hands-on Design System work.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining design systems in Figma.
• Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, Diagram) for workflow optimization.
• Experience working with Vibe coding tools or similar design-to-code workflows.
• Strong systems thinking, attention to detail, and operational discipline.
• Effective communicator who collaborates smoothly with engineering.
