SAS Advanced Technologies is expanding its sales engineering team and is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer with deep technical strength in PCB and PCBA, strong customer-facing skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex manufacturing solutions on time, at quality, and at scale.
This role is not for a pure salesperson. We are looking for a technically strong engineer who knows how to translate customer requirements into manufacturable, high-quality PCB and PCBA solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the technical lead for customers during pre-sales and post-sales phases
- Analyze customer designs with focus on:
- High-speed digital signals
- Signal integrity (SI), impedance control, stack-up definition
- Power integrity (PI), EMI/EMC considerations
- Review and support:
- PCB fabrication technologies (HDI, multilayer, fine-line, controlled impedance)
- PCBA processes (SMT, THT, mixed technology, advanced packages)
- Translate customer electrical and mechanical requirements into clear manufacturing and process definitions
- Interface with PCB and PCBA factories to:
- Validate technical feasibility
- Align on process, quality, and delivery commitments
- Lead technical discussions with customers, including:
- DFM / DFT / DFA reviews
- Yield, reliability, and quality improvement topics
- Support pricing, RFQs, and cost optimization while protecting technical integrity
- Own technical execution from quotation through delivery
- Strong electrical engineering background (BSc or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience (5+ years) in PCB / PCBA sales engineering or manufacturing engineering
- Deep understanding of:
- Signal integrity fundamentals (impedance, crosstalk, loss, skew)
- High-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, SerDes, RF is a plus)
- PCB stack-ups, materials, and fabrication constraints
- Hands-on knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and limitations
- Strong understanding of PCBA process flow, quality control, and yield drivers
- Proven ability to manage:
- Manufacturing risk
- Quality expectations
- Delivery schedules
- Comfortable working directly with customers, factories, and internal teams
- Experience working with global PCB / PCBA suppliers
- Background in quality systems (IPC, ISO, automotive or high-reliability markets)
- Experience supporting complex, high-mix or advanced technology programs
- Ability to read and challenge customer Gerbers, stack-ups, and BOMs
- Work on challenging, high-technology programs, not commodity boards
