Python & Machine Learning Engineer

A growing Data & ML Engineering group based in Tel Aviv is looking for a Data Engineer- Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) / Python Developer to join our team.

In this role, you will work closely with Data Scientists and provide end-to-end solutions for a wide range of needs- including Python package development, REST API services, and data pipeline engineering.

This position requires a strong production-oriented mindset, with the ability to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions for both batch and API processes.

What you’ll do:

• Develop robust, scalable, and production-ready Python code
• Build and maintain internal Python packages for statistical and mathematical functionalities
• Design and implement REST API services (FastAPI)
• Design and develop data pipelines for data extraction, preparation, and loading from diverse sources
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools to ensure high-quality deployments
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and support ML/AI-driven initiatives
• Leverage containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) for scalable solutions

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of professional Python development experience
• 4+ years with Git/GitLab and Jenkins
• 3+ years of REST API development (FastAPI experience is a plus)
• 2+ years working with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
• 3+ years of experience with SQL databases (MS-SQL, MySQL, Postgres)
• 2+ years with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase)
• 2+ years of hands-on work with Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark)
• Kafka or other messaging queues- advantage
• Shell scripting- advantage
• 2–5 years of applied AI/ML or AI solution integration
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Bedrock, Transcribe)
• Familiarity with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI / Hugging Face APIs
